Flexible Rogowski coils are designed for quick and easy installation around existing conductors and busbars. Their split design enables non-intrusive measurement of AC currents and current pulses without disconnecting the primary conductor, making them well suited for retrofit applications and portable current measurement.
Rogowski coils offer a key advantage over conventional magnetic-core current transformers: their air-core construction eliminates magnetic core saturation. In conventional CTs, saturation can cause the secondary output to lose its proportional relationship with the primary current, resulting in nonlinear measurement errors.
